About Dr Michał Nowakowski

I am Dr Michał Nowakowski, a legal counsel working at the intersection of technology, business and regulation. For almost 15 years, I have worked with regulated sectors, especially banking and the public sector, including banks and public bodies responsible for financial stability.

I advise organizations of different sizes, including banks and public administration entities. I have delivered training and developed AI competence programmes commissioned by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and for the Polish Development Fund (PFR).

From 2023 to 2025, I chaired the AI Section of the Polish Information Processing Society. From 2022 to 2026, I served as President of the Management Board of the Polish Organisation of Non-Bank Payment Institutions.

My work focuses on helping organizations navigate AI and data safely and responsibly. I connect technology, business and regulation, with particular attention to corporate governance, information security and emerging legal requirements. I support the development of AI management systems aligned with ISO 42001 and legal frameworks including the AI Act and GDPR. My cybersecurity experience also covers NIS2 and DORA. I advise management boards, train teams and develop practical procedures that enable innovation without unnecessary risk.
